Playlist of the Week

I recently decided to start over on my summer playlist. I wanted a more laid back vibe. I made this decision after I discovered the dreampop sounds of Sea Lemon and copperplate on Spotify, plus I have been listening to a lot of dreampop/indie rock this year. On this new mix, it purposely left out metal and dance/pop.  The sounds on this mix is more indie rock/dreampop/shoegaze with a dabble of pop/rock, classical, lo-fi, darkwave, hip hop, and straight forward pop. I did include one dance/pop song and it is "Girl Like Me" by PinkPantheress. I felt that track meshed well with the rest of the songs. While I do love the latest dance/pop albums by Lady Gaga and Rebecca Black (yes that Rebecca Black), I felt their music would sound out of place on this mix.

Songs to check out:
"portfolio" by copperplate
"Atlantean" by LYNQ
"Stay" by Sea Lemon
"Doomsday" by Sunday (1994)
"Lifetime" by Erika de Casier
"Bakunawa - Acapella" by Ruby Ibarra, Quida, Han Han, June Millington
