Playlist of the Week

The last time I posted this playlist, I was not quite at 300 songs on my mix of my favorite female fronted heavy metal bands. 3-4 weeks later I have now accumulated over 400 songs. I have really discovered some fantastic bands in the process of putting together this playlist, via Spotify and Facebook.

I have been listening a lot to Deathless Legacy, Eleine, and League of Distortion so much of lately. They are my top 3 Spotify bands according to the algorithm. I am seriously contemplating going to the Power of Mad festival in Madison,  WI to see Eleine live (Japanese metal band Bridear is going to be there too).

I have been so unimpressed with Nightwish's recent music post Endless Forms Most Beautiful (their  last good album) lately and have been gravitating towards metal much more darker than my once favorite metal band. Also just discovered the Ukrainian metal band Ignea. They are heavy AF yet their  music is heavy on melodies too. Personally I am not a fan of black/death/thrash metal bands who offers absolute no melodies. I don't mind the aggressive guitar riffs and rhythm section but I need melodies too.

Bands to check Out:
Ignea (Ukraine)
Eleine (Switzerland)
Deathless Legacy (Italy)
League of Distortion (German)
Whispers (Indonesia)
