My Top 10 Current Favorite Albums of the Week
The past 2 weeks have been amazing for new music. My favorite R&B artists Erika de Casier dropped a surprise album this past Friday. I really adored her last album Still, and that love continues with her new album Lifetime. I never been much of an r&b fan for most of my adult life but I am really digging the direction the genre is going with the likes of Kehlani and Erika. If I had more room, I would have added the new Pink Pantheress album Fancy That but I will give it an honorable mention. Great album. Love the drum and bass elements in her music as well as Erika's music.
VNV Nation dropped a new album. It is a pretty solid album. Nothing really new unfortunately. My issue with VNV is that their music sounds way too much alike which is why I really not much into EBM/futurepop anymore. That said, I enjoy the music. It is pleasant. When my ears need a break from metal, I will listen to Construct. "The Spaces Between", "Station 21", and "Hymn" are my favorite tracks.

Next to Lifetime, I have been really listening to Folkpirana, the debut album by Mexican singer/songwriter Damaris Bojor. She blends traditional Mexican folk music with American folk music. Certainly one of the best debut albums of 2025.
