My top 10 current favorite albums of the week
If you want to save Democracy, call your representatives to not vote for the Save Act. Apricot Pol Pot wants to make voting even harder. Also continue calling your reps/senators to stop funding ICE.
A Bar of Their Own owner Jillian Hiscock is asking for donations for mutal aid. ICE has yet to let up on Minneapolis. Also a good site to donate too as well Stand With Minnesota..
For the past week, my listening habits have been all over the place. I have been listening a lot to Snow Tha Product because of her song Domingo (Se Cabo) which I have been listening to day in and day out since last Friday. I even bought a ticket for her upcoming show in April at First Avenue.
Last weekend I watched A Mighty Wind for the first time in many years. It is currently on Netflix along with Waiting For Guffman and Best in Show. While the film is a hilarious mockumentary, the music is really good. The soundtrack is certainly worth listening to as it is because it is so good. I really miss Catherine O'Hara. She is why I love her work in Christopher Guest mockumentaries (which I think if it wasn't for him, there would be no The Office or Park and Recs shows).
I am really digging Emily Scott Robinson's Appalachia album. I learned about it on NPR's All Songs Considered. Great Americana/roots album. Really love the song "Dirtbag Saloon".
