My Current Favorite Songs of the Week
Happy Friday! I have lots of new songs on this week's playlist.
One of my favorite songs is the new song by Vintersea "Celestial Abscission" featuring their new singer Kayla Dixon who is a fantastic addition to the progressive/death metal band. Kayla had big shoes to fill when Avienne left the band (have no idea why, hope she returns with a new band) and she succeeded.
Last week Ad Infinitum and The Linda Lindas released new albums Abyss and No Obligations. Both albums are really good. I have included my current favorite songs by both bands on this week's mix. While totally different genres, both albums are worth checking out.
This morning, I discovered that Japanese Breakfast released a pop version of "The Ballad of the Witches' Road" from the excellent Disney+ series Agatha All Along. What a delightful surprise.
There is a lot of heavy metal music on this week's playlist. I recently created Heavy Metal Queens playlist, and have been adding songs from various metal albums I have been listening to this week. It has been a fun journey.
