Aryem appreciation post

Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised by the symphonic metal band Aryem (from Mexico City) with a personalized shout out to me in my DMs. Thanking me for engaging them on their social media posts. The band also sent out personalized messages to a few other fans too. I posted it on my private FB page that only my friends can see but decided to keep it off Instagram since I have my IG account public. It was personal and I wanted to keep it private from everyone on IG. Anyhoo, I thought I would return the favor with an Aryem appreciation post on my blog. This band truly deserves a larger audience going beyond Mexico and Latin America. So for any symphonic metal fans, I definitely recommend checking out Aryem.

I discovered Aryem via Spotify in 2022. Their song "Betrayed" from their first album Dangerous Paradise started playing after I had listened to either some Nightwish or Sirenia music. The rest is history to say the very least.

If you go to the band's YouTube channel, you can see the first four episodes of their ongoing documentary of the making of their third album which I am completely stoked of course. I love that the band decided to record the process of making their new album.

Recommended Videos to watch:
Betrayed (Spanish version) - This was from the early days of the pandemic when everyone had to stay home. I really dug hearing this song in Spanish.

La Llorona LIVE (Quarantine Live Session) - I have been a fan of the Mexican folk song "La Llorona" since I first heard it on Al Chile by Lila Downs and then in the Pixar film Coco. Absolutely adore the metal version. This video was also recorded in 2020 during the early days of the panny.

We Three Kings This past December, the band released this beautiful cover of the Christmas carol classic.
