Album of the Week

2-3 weeks ago, I discovered the Oregon metal band Vintersea via Spotify when one of their songs started playing after I had finished listening to an album. The song was either "Illuminated" or "Crack of Light" from the band's 2019 release Illuminated. It quickly led me to go listen to the album and I immediately was hooked on the band's brand of metal which mixes various sub-genres from black metal to melodic death metal. Avienne is a fantastic singer. I love that her vocals isn't strictly clean or harsh, and that she switches back and forth with very little effort. I hope one day I will get a chance to see the band live.
