100 Favorite Modern Metal Albums

 Earlier last year I began putting together a list of my 100 favorite heavy metal albums from the past 2 decades. I was hoping to have posted it last year but the project proved to be more challenging than I thought it would be. I recently finished the list last week and this weekend I worked on organizing the list. I don't listen to old school heavy metal music so that lightened up on my work load. I decided to focus on the music I have been listening to for the past few years, and the bands to be relatively current (with some exceptions). 

Most of the bands I listen to are from from the 2000s to the present moment, but there are some rare exceptions. A good chunk of the bands I listen to are from Asia, most being from Japan. There were so many albums I had to leave off however I wanted to keep this list to 100.
