Earworm of the Week

This is probably the first time when Nightwish releases a new song and I had to listen to it many times for it to grow on me. It isn't that I didn't like it, I just wasn't sure what to make of it the first time I heard "Noise". The song lack the familiar hooks that always gets my attention right away. With "Noise", the melodies are more subtle and they take a backseat to the musicianship of the band. I like this more aggressive sound on this track than what I am used to when the band releases the first single off their latest album. Overall great song. Visually the video grabbed my attention right away with the obvious commentary on social media and people who profit from it.
