Album of the Week

For this week's Album of the Week, I chose John Williams' The Berlin Concert. I have been listening to it regularly for the past several days since I found it on Spotify. The legendary composer made his debut the Berlin Philharmonic last year. This is a live album from that performance. The concert is a collection of familiar songs from films but also includes the Olympic fanfare and theme, and Elegy for Cello and Orchestra. What is a John Williams performance is without his most famous work from the Star Wars franchise? The entire concert is a delight to listen to even during the workday, sometimes I need to listen to music that is not heavy metal or rock.
