Album of the Week

Last week, the Mongolian folk/metal band The Hu released their second album Rumble of Thunder, the follow up to 2019's excellent The Gereg . The album is so good. I think the production on Rumble of Thunder is better on this album. The music definitely has a heavier, more metal sound than on The Gereg. The album is just over an hour long but it flies by quickly. I can listening to the album without skipping to the next track. I like that the extended version of "Black Thunder" is on the album, along with the single version. It sounds much better unedited. My favorite tracks are" Triangle", "Bil Biyelgee", "Shihi Hutu", and the extended version of "Black Thunder".
