Playlist of the Week

Last week, I was introduced to Vietnamese New Wave via Omsom's Instagram account. People can read about The History of Vietnamese New Wave at Refinery29. I immediately did a deep dive on Spotify and created a mix of Viet new wave music. People may notice there might be a couple of versions of "Lame L'Amour" and "La Isla Bonita" but that is because 2 different artists covered the songs.

Side note: tomorrow Elizabeth Ai's book New Wave: Rebellion and Reinvention in the Vietnamese Diaspora . There is also a documentary that goes with the book but the viewings is not many. I am hoping that it will end up on a streaming platform one day.
