I really can't pin point the time when I got into trip hop music. I am thinking it was after discovering Hooverphonic's first two albums back in the mid '90s. Whatever the case might be, Massive Attack's Mezzanine album has always been a favorite of mine. I love their first three albums but Mezzanine is my personal favorite by the band and album in general. The album to me has a dark, sinister yet sexy vibe. The music would make for a perfect soundtrack for a noir film especially with songs like "Angel" and "Man Next Door". In a couple more years, Mezzanine will be twenty years old but the music sounds fresh and new today as it did in 1998..
