1992 was a really stand out year in music for me when I was in high school. I was listening to a lot of alternative rock like L7, Babes in Toyland, Social Distortion, 7 Year Bitch, The Gits, The Rollins Band, etc... etc... . One of my favorite albums from that year (next to Bricks Are Heavy by L7) is Our Time in Eden by 10,000 Maniacs. Our Time In Eden is definitely one of my favorite pop albums of our time. I just love the jingly guitar riffs, the playful horn section like on "Few and Far Between", and Natalie Merchant's thoughtful and sometimes whimsical lyrics. 24 years later, the album still sounds fresh and lively as it did when I first heard it as a junior in high school.
