MergingMoon

Last weekend on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown Tokyo episode, I was introduced to a really excellent Japanese thrash metal band called MergingMoon. I don't say this very often but my ass was kicked when I saw/heard their music on the show. After the show, I went online to check out more of their music. My ears totally melted by the time I went to bed. Why this band is not signed is anybody's guess. It is a crime if you ask me that this band does not have a record deal. Just check out the clips I have posted here. I really do hope that some record label that specializes in heavy metal music will sign this band to a record deal. This band deserves to be seen and heard.

P.S...please don't compare them with Evanescence. In fact don't compare ANY female fronted [gothic] metal band with Evanescence. Bands like Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, and Within Temptation were putting out good quality gothic metal long before Evanescence (whose music really is not metal, maybe hard rock). Don't get me wrong, I like their first album (and the only album I like) and I don't think they are a bad band but the comparisons to Evanescence is really insulting and disingenuous.
