Album of the Week

It has been a few weeks since I bought the album so I have finally decided to make the self-titled debut album by The Highwomen (Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires).  I am mostly familiar with Brandi Carlile but I have heard of Maren Morris and Amanda Shires. Country music is a love it or leave it. I am more into the earlier sounds ala Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams but I will make some exceptions with Brandi Carlile and now her group The Highwomen. Country/pop this album ain't. The music screams traditional country beginning from "Highwomen" to the final song "Wheels of Laredo" (a song Brandi wrote for Tanya Tucker). I absolutely love the entire album.
