ACTORS w/Autumn and The Bellwether Syndicate at The Nomad World Pub 05.06.2019
Last night, I went to The Nomad World Pub for the latest Kilted Farmer Koncerts show featuring ACTORS, Autumn (US band), and The Bellwether Syndicate. It was a fun night of post-punk goodness.
As always, Autumn put in a killer set. Most of their songs they played last night was from their latest album Chandelier however they did throw in some old faves of mine "Red" from Return to the Breath, and "How It Came To Be" and "The Hating Tree" (an 11 minute opus) from The Hating Tree. Chicago based band The Bellwether Syndicate performed songs from their debut EP The Night Watch as well as their new single Republik, a short yet sweet set. It had been several years since I last saw the band (with The Foreign Resort) at Ground Zero. The Vancouver based band ACTORS closed out the night. If you haven't heard It Will Come To You, I strongly recommend giving it a listen. It is one of my favorite albums (regardless of genre) from last year, and certainly one of the best post-punk albums. I will let photos and video footage speak for the rest of the show.
